SOAP AID is a not-for-profit organisation founded in Australia with a dual humanitarian and environmental mission. The primary focus is to save and improve the lives of children in disadvantaged communities through the facilitation of improved hygiene practices. At the same time, Soap Aid aims to reduce environmental degradation by recycling and reprocessing unused soap collected from hotels.

Anganwadi workers live amongst and serve many of the poorest communities in India where they act as intermediaries between families and the government by providing essential public health and education services. We wanted to highlight this story of local people administering aid in an uplifting and matter-of-fact context. We followed Pushpa Singh through her daily routine and endeavored to create video that is honest and intimate without objectifying impoverished people.

“Dillon is more than just a filmmaker, he is a one-man production company. With his meticulous attention to detail and love of storytelling, he transformed the way that our brand communicates by creating these beautiful and compelling films. Most importantly, he is kind, empathetic and knows how to connect with people no matter where they come from or what language they speak.”
